Day 20 – Tuesday 11 June 2024

The entire 20th trial day was used by advocate Ioannis Glykas to deliver the closing arguments in defense of the accused Athanasios Chortarias.

In the six and a half hours of his speech, the defense attorney developed at length that the forensic report of Kalogrias and Marianou was “written under orders”, that the accused Chortarias “was the David of this case” and that the victim was “a carrier of AIDS”(sic).

The court adjourned at 16:12 for the next hearing on Wednesday 10 July 2024, when the court is expected to publish its decision.
